賽制與章程

1. No. of Teams
A total of 4 teams will participate this year.

2. Qualification
a) All IBM members are eligible to participate this tournament.
b) Each team is allowed to register a maximum of 12 players throughout the tournament. No change of the players is allowed within 48 hours of any scheduled matches.
c) A player cannot play for more than one team throughout the tournament.
d) The captain of each team is responsible for ensuring that each player of his team is qualified to play. The Committee may order to disqualify the team for ignorance of the rules or failure to check adequately.

3. Venue
LCSD Sports Centres in Hong Kong

4. Date and Time
All matches are to be played in Monday to Friday between 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., please refer to the schedule for exact date and time.

5. Format of Competition
5.1 Single round system is played within the group in the preliminary round. The first team with the highest vs the foueth team and the second team vs the third team will be qualified to the playoff stage, which will be knockout matches.
Score in the single round system
5.2 In the event a draw at the end of the scheduled playing time, a golden free throw will be played. The winner will receive two (2) points, and the loser will receive one (1) point, no point will be given to any walk over team.
5.2.1 If there are two (2) teams in the classification with equal points, the result(s) of the game(s) between the two (2) teams involved will be used to determine the placing.
5.2.2 If there are more than two (2) teams in the classification with equal points, a second classification will be established, taking into account only the results of the games between the involved teams.
5.2.3 If at any stage of this procedure the number of teams with equal points is reduced to only two (2) teams, the procedure in 5.2.1 above will be applied.

6. Prizes
The Champion = 1 Trophy and 12 Medals
1st Runner Up = 1 Trophy and 12 Medals
2nd Runner Up = 1 Trophy and 12 Medals
3rd Runner Up = 1 Trophy and 12 Medals
Top Scorer * = 1 Trophy
* Who obtains the highest score in all preliminary and playoff round
3 Points Leader* = 1 Trophy
* Who obtains the most 3 points shot in all preliminary and playoff round

7. Uniform
Each team is requested to prepare at least one set of uniform (same colour with numbers 0-99). If uniform is not available, the team can borrow the number vests from the referee.

8. Rules and Regulations
8.1 The 2012 FIFB rules is adopted, unless otherwise specified, will in accordance with the rules and regulations as those lay down all playing rules.
8.2 There will be a total of 4 quarters and each will be lasted for 10 minutes. The time break between the 1st and 2nd as well as the 3rd and 4th quarters is 1 minute. The time break between the 2nd and 3rd quarters (halftime break) is 3 minutes. Time-outs are 1 minute each.
8.3 Clock (stop time of games) The Clock would be stopped under the following circumstances: I. Time-out as requested by the coach. II. Last 2 minutes in the 4th quarters.
8.4 The decisions of the appointed referees shall be final. No complaints whatsoever against their decisions will be entertained.
8.5 All players must observe the rules and regulations laid down by the respective venue for using their sports facilities.
8.6 The captain of each team is responsible for ensuring that each player of his team is qualified to play. The captain must submit a list of players with the corresponding number of their vests to the referee/pitch attendant 15 minutes before the commencement of each match.

9. Referee
Professional referees will be employed for the competition. Each team member is requested to obey the judgments made by the official referees.

10. Fixture
Application for change of fixture will not be allowed, however the Committee reserves the right to amend or change the fixture when it becomes necessary and sufficient advance notice will be given to the parties involved.

11. Walk-over
Each team should arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time of each match. A team will be considered conceding a walkover if, at 5 minutes after the scheduled time less than 5 players are on the field. The opposing team will be considered as the winning team. (With score of 20:0)

12. Discipline
In the event of fighting between the teams during any match, which resulted in the suspension of the match, the Committee would have the authority to disqualify the team(s) involved for all the following matches and the matter may be reported to the Head of the Department concerned.

13. Miscellaneous
The Basketball Committee reserves the right to amend these rules and regulations at its discretion and any matter not covered by these will be dealt with by the Committee as it may deem fit.
